Women’s Support Groups based in Surrey & offered Nationwide
Here at The Lucy Rayner Foundation, we offer mental health support for women throughout Surrey and across the UK. If you are feeling overwhelmed and unsure where to turn, our combination of online and in-person meetings provides a forum for you to meet other women facing similar struggles with their mental health.
All too often, women are trying to juggle different roles at home or in the workplace and feel under pressure to keep everything ticking over -this can lead to feelings of inadequacy, especially during periods of acute stress. Support groups for women are there to show that you are not alone, and with the right encouragement, you can gain insight into your feelings and new optimism about the future.
Mental Health Discussion Groups for Women
Our mental health discussion groups allow women to express themselves in a compassionate and non-judgemental environment. Here you can be assured that all things discussed are kept confidential.

Issues Women may deal with
Statistics show that women are more likely to suffer mental health problems, this is often driven by both social and economic factors. Many women can feel pressure to be perfect and struggle to admit they are not coping, especially if they have others that rely on them.
With the support of those around them and by connecting with other like-minded individuals, we aim to normalise women seeking support and break down the barriers they are facing.
Women tackle various issues and topics that affect mental health, including:
- Depression and low mood
- Anxiety
- Domestic violence
- Pregnancy, post-natal depression and new mum support
- Eating disorders
