Mental Health Awareness Workshop in Surrey
We offer mental health awareness workshops to schools, universities and workplaces that help people recognise the signs and symptoms of a mental health problem. Now more than ever, it is important to look out for each other and pay attention to the behaviours we witness in others or notice in ourselves.
Sometimes, when we are struggling, it is difficult to speak openly to the people closest to us. These workshops not only educate people about mental health, but also provide a safe space for discussion.
Signs and Symptoms of a Mental Health Problem
You might notice some of the signs below in yourself or someone else:
- Withdrawal
- Sudden changes in mood
- Tearfulness
- Decrease in productivity/performance at school/work
- Frequent distraction
- Lack of self-care such as personal hygiene
What Does This Course Offer?
- A qualified trainer
- The tools to access your mental health resilience
- Advice on mental health resilience
- Small groups of 20 people (maximum)
- Space for open conversations
How to Take Action
This course not only explains what signs and symptoms to look out for but also provides guidance on how to help someone you think might be struggling with their mental health. Many people feel embarrassed to talk about what they are experiencing, so just knowing they have a supportive environment where they can talk in confidence can make all the difference.
Sharing experiences can be a real eye-opener, as many feel very alone in their feelings. However, it is important to understand that most people struggle from time to time and there is no shame in ever asking for help.
